With Alessandro Carloni and Jennifer Yuh's animated action adventure film "Kung Fu Panda 3" coming to theaters soon, the film may assume some victory with its preview's positive feedback in China.

"Kung Fu Panda 3" debuted in China on Dec. 23 for a special three-hour sneak preview, according to Forbes. The publication added that the animated sequel had got $6.5 million, for two showtimes in different theaters nationwide.

Timing is a crucial factor in the film's success. The film is set to debut in the United States and in China on a weekend prior to the weekend of the Chines New Year; thus, it is the best time for the film to mark its opening its opening weekend, as per Forbes. This action would also reduce the possibility of the film to drop on the second weekend.

Dreamworks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenburg told The Hollywood Reporter his stand on why Dreamworks released two versions of "Kung Fu Panda 3." In his interview with the publication, Katzenburg said that one would have to see it twice to compare the differences between the English and Chinese versions of the film.

Katzenburg even added that watching the film twice was not enough and one would actually have to see it a third time to decide which was the better or the best.

"Kung Fu Panda 3" follows Po as he continues his legendary adventures of awesomeness and deal with two different threats - one is a supernatural while the other is someone who is close to his home. The film stars the voices of J.K. Simmons, Kate Hudson, Bryan Cranston, James Hong, David Cross, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, and Jack Black.

Carloni and Yuh's "Kung Fu Panda 3" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States and in China on Jan. 29.
