Popular Christian activist Kirk Cameron embarks on a theatrical journey with his new movie coming this November entitled, 'Saving Christmas' and the actor is looking to disprove the idea that all the popular Christmas traditions are not linked to Jesus.

Cameron's Cam Fam Studios along with Provident Films and Samuel Goldwyn Films produced the comedic narrative in hopes to provide an educational element that addresses popular critiques on the holiday.

"This Christmas, have your family join with Kirk Cameron's family and dive headfirst into all the dancing, celebration, feasting, imagination, and traditions that glorify the true reason for the season," the films site states. The movie is slated for a November 14 release.

SavingChristmas.com goes on to say that the upcoming film 'Saving Christmas', "is an engaging story that will leave the audience with an understanding of a biblical basis for our celebrations, and the inspiration to stand strongly against a culture that wants to trivialize and eliminate the faith elements of this holy season."

"So take in the splendor; take in the majesty; take in the story. Take it all in ... and let's put Christ back in Christmas!"

In an interview with TheBlaze Cameron said concerning atheists, "I assume they're going to get frustrated to see some of their best arguments deflated by this movie, because we take on some of the most commonly parroted myths about the origins of Christmas."

He also described the film saying, "It's a scripted story about a guy named Christian White who represents the typical white Christian male and he's got a bad case of religious bah humbugs," adding, "He is just deflating his wife's entire Christmas party because he has come to believe that everything we're doing at Christmas to celebrate is wrong."

The goal of the film is to spread the message of the "reason for the season." Using the phrase "let's put Christ back in Christmas" Cameron and his team are putting the focus back on Jesus in a time where the celebration of Christ's birth becomes less and less the emphasis of Christmas every year.
