Kim Soo Hyun News: ‘My Love From the Star’ Lead Role Named Richest K-Drama Actor

New reports have emerged naming Kim Soo Hyun as the richest Korean drama actor for the year 2014. Fittingly, the young actor's co-star, Jun Ji Hyun, is the richest K-drama actress for 2014. Both of them star in 'My Love From the Star', a drama television series about Do Min Joon, an alien who is perfect in every way, falling in love with diva actress Chun Song Yi.

Before he appeared in 'My Love From the Star', Kim Soo Hyun modeled at a handsome price-tag of almost $600,000 per advertisement. After his starring role in the hit television series, he continued to model for $800,000 to $1 million per advertisement.

Kim Soo Hyun wasn't always the cool celebrity he is now. Throughout his early childhood, Kim was introverted and timid. His mother encouraged him to take acting classes before he found his true passion. By 2007, Kim was making his acting debut in television series like 'Kimchi Cheese Smile', and 'Jungle Fish'.

Slowly, the 'Jungle Fish' lead rose in popularity and reputation. He learned to sing and dance for his singing career in the teen drama 'Dream High', and began modelling for laptop, camera, suit companies and more. Today, Kim Soo Hyun's massive wealth stems from his leading role in the 'My Love From the Star' drama, as well as his modelling career. Kim began building his international fame through this series.

Earlier this year, Kim sang alongside Chinese pop stars Zhang Liangying and Zhang Jie for the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China. With such an impressive reputation, can we expect to see Kim Soo Hyun acting in American movies, too?
