Former DC Talk and Audio Adrenaline singer Kevin Max gave an update about his upcoming album Broken Temples on Facebook.

The album comes out on November 25, and Max says it is halfway done. He will be doing a feature interview about the album's lead single "Light me Up" next week, and the track will be released on iTunes August 19.

"I am excited about this album as it is a personal proclamation of my journey. My journey has been one of brokenness"¦ in leaving the safe confines of 'pretending that everything is ok' and playing by the rules I found that I am better off when I can be real and honest about what defines me," Max wrote.

He continued, "I have been on the mountaintop and the valley"¦ but it is through the valley that has given me perspective in the arts. Dctalk was a tool in teaching me more about music and the art of music making. My years in LA, were a tool in teaching me about myself, my limitations and how I needed The Lord to speak into my art to make it wholly mine. Without being broken, the Spirit would not have been able to get in through the cracks and indwell."

The singer said the single will be available to his fans in the Secret Circle Club (here) first. On the site he will also be doing an interview this Sunday at 3:00 pm. Nashville time.
