Katie Holmes News: She Finds Being A Movie Director 'Challenging'

As people may know, Katie Holmes is currently directing the movie, "All We Had." It is her first time directing a movie so people are interested on what she's going through right now.

Is she having a hard time adjusting to a new role in the production or did she manage to adapt to the job description easily?

Recently, she said that she found the job behind the camera "challenging," yet rewarding in the end.

"I was actually on both sides [of the camera]. It was an undertaking, but the movie was produced by Jane Rosenthal and you couldn't ask for a better producer, so I felt very taken care of," she told People Magazine.

"It was very challenging! But very, very rewarding. Hopefully you just get better every time you do it. That's what I'm hoping for," Holmes added.

The movie is about a mother who struggles to raise her daughter and to improve their current situation in life according to the International Movie Database. Ruthie and her mother Rita Carmichael runs out of money and gets stuck in a small town called Fat River. Rita manages to secure a job as a waitress. The job's salary was enough to pay their bills. They were able to rent a house, which they could call their home for the first time.

It is written by Josh Boone (screenplay), Jill Killington and Annie Weatherwas (novel); under the production team, "Mustard & Co."

Parts of the movie were shot at Monsey, New York. It is a suburban area in the Lower Hudson Valley just outside of the city.
