Kate Gosselin Child Abuse Claims: New Book Makes Accusations of Manipulation & Extortion

The new book that reality TV star Kate Gosselin has fought to stop the publication of, has finally been released.

In the controversial book, Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World, The Rise and Fall of a Reality TV Queen, allegations of child abuse and neglect have been made by the book's author/reporter Robert Hoffman. Hoffman claims to have followed Gosselin and obtained confidential information from her hard drive with the help of Gosselin's ex-husband, Jon Gosselin.

In the book, Gosselin allegedly uses a "spanker" until the kids are "happy again." The book also claims that she kept a journal about her troubles disciplining her eight children and believed that her son Colin, who was 2 years old at the time, deliberately did things to annoy her. Colin was allegedly punished using a naughty corner for his bad behavior.

Hoffman also goes into detail to make claims stating that Gosselin managed to manipulate her fertility treatments so that she could get pregnant with a second set of multiples. In the book, it is hinted that it was a calculated plan to find fame and fortune through having so many kids.

There were also claims that Gosselin had an alleged love affair with her longtime family bodyguard Steve. Robert's book mentions that the affair with Steve occurred even before she and Jon were divorced.

Kate Gosselin is currently filming the latest season of Kate Plus 8.
