Mainstream entertainment went into a frenzy when young pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr. married celebrities Kanye West and Kim Kardashian last year. Now People magazine has broke the news that the popular Pastor has a new book and Mr. West illustrated the cover.

'Sandcastle Kings: Meeting Jesus in a Spiritually Bankrupt World' is the full title of the newly authored book by Wilkerson. In the book Wilkerson uses four powerful stories from the seventh chapter of Luke to explain why spiritual fulfillment cannot be found in ourselves, in other people, in material things, or even in religion.

West although often pegged by conspiracy theorist an illuminati puppet professes to be a devote Christian and has publically acknowledged Wilkerson as a spiritual advisor and friend. See below:

When asked why the pastor chose the controversial rapper he told People, "Kanye is a really good friend. We chat every week about different things: clothes, design, music, architecture, Jesus. He's an amazing artist and designer, and with my first book coming out, I thought it would be fun for him to design the cover."

Wilkerson went on to say that when he asked the "Jesus Walks" rapper to do the cover "He was really enthusiastic."

"It looks more like art than a book cover," Wilkerson continued, "It's clean, minimalistic, and simple, with big brush strokes. It's exactly what I hoped it would be."

Although West does not have the best reputation in the public for his frequent outburst the Florida based pastor has purposed to show him the love of Christ and see past all of that.

"I know Kanye as my friend; we talk about Jesus. And that's the whole point: God doesn't care about scandals; he cares about people, Wilkerson stated, "It makes sense for Kanye to design the book cover. It makes a statement."

Although no comment from West yet, his reality super star wife Kim talked highly of Pastor Rich. "Pastor Rich is one of those rare people who always lights up the room and makes everyone feel like a priority. His optimistic advice and his passion for the Word of God are contagious. He has had such a positive and enlightening influence on my family; we are so blessed to call him our Pastor and our friend," she said in a press release. 

'Sandcastle Kings' has already garnered endorsements from a number of faith leaders and influencers, including Erwin Raphael McManus (Founder of Mosaic and author of The Artisan Soul), Chris Durso (Pastor of Misfit NYC), Brooke Fraser (singer/songwriter), Levi Lusko (pastor, Fresh Life Church and author of Through the Eyes of a Lion), and others.
