Jeremy Camp’s ‘Same Power’ Tops Christian Airplay Chart

Jeremy Camp

Last week, Jeremy Camp again claimed the number one spot on Billboard's Christian Airplay chart with the song "Same Power," the second single from Camp's tenth album, "I Will Follow." It replaces the previous week's number one track which was "Flawless" by MercyMe.

As BREATHEcast wrote in its February review of Jeremy Camp's "I Will Follow," "Same Power" is a powerful reminder that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in believers.

The song is the 37-year-old singer/songwriter's eighth number one track on Billboard's charts, making him the artist with the third most chart toppers behind only MercyMe with 13 number ones, and Casting Crown with nine. With eight number one tracks, Camp passes Chris Tomlin and Third Day who each have had seven chart toppers.

Commenting on the news, Jeremy Camp told Billboard, "It has been such a blessing being able to do this for so many years. I am so thankful to get to still be serving the Lord through music."

In March, the first single from "I Will Follow," "He Knows," topped the Christian Airplay chart for two straight weeks.

Jeremy Camp is currently touring the United States with dates in November in Gonzales, La., and Conroe, Texas.
