Up and coming Christian artist Jaxon is releasing his latest single "I Need You" to radio, along with a music video that can be viewed at the end of this article. The song is a cut from his CD titled The Journey released earlier this year and is currently going for adds at Christian INSPO and AC-formatted radio outlets.

"The music on this new project is authentic, genuine and heartfelt encouragement," says Jaxon, speaking about the heart behind The Journey. "It's what I hope people will turn to when they need to be lifted up."

In a post on social media, the singer speaks about the meaning behind the song "I Need You," explaining what it really means to him, "Moments of transparency here. Some behind the scenes footage of 'I Need You.'"

"In my rehearsals, I choose to think about the lyrics and how much God is able to do in our lives," Jaxon writes. "I dare you to think about how he can exceed what we think. How he's building us up in a way that we excel above every situation.

He adds, "I'm unashamed to shout it out to the heavens, 'God I NEED YOU!' Though I'm born in sin and shaped in iniquity, I'm made perfect through Jesus Christ! Happy Friday believers!"

In another post, he speaks about another track on The Journey, explaining how the song "Disciple" was born out of an earnest desire to let go of himself and follow Christ with this whole heart. He says, "This song 'Disciple' has a way of causing me to look inward and ask myself, 'Am I following in the way of Jesus?'

Originally hailing from Kansas City, Mo., Jaxon now calls Atlanta his home and explains on his website that he has been part of the Gospel music business since he was a young boy, dancing and performing with major artists. Now as an adult and a father of two, he is making music that is already receiving the attention of people within the industry.
