A Martin Luther King Jr. Biopic Film is set to be getting underway and Jamie Foxx is at the top of the list to be cast at Dr. King Jr. 

A movie on the life of Dr. King has been a long time coming with the King family finally giving their blessing to Steven Spielberg's production company, Dreamworks, to move forward. 

Oliver Stone has been signed on to direct the film by Dreamworks. Foxx and Stone worked together on the football movie, Any Given Sunday, and Stone has been a part of several political films including JFK and W

America just celebrated the 50th anniversary of MLK's historic march on Washington speech which has helped gain new momentum to get the film in production. 

In 2009, Dreamworks acquired the rights to King's story, which included the rights to his "I Have A Dream Speech."

Foxx is a strong casting for the movie as he has been in several blockbusters and has received high acclaim for his acting. Foxx won over critics and audiences alike with his role as Ray Charles in the 2004 film, Ray. Foxx recently starred in Django Unchained (2012), and played the president in White House Down in his most recent movie.
