iPhone 7 Release Date Rumors: Holograms, Solar Power, Water Proof? Expected Launch 2015

The iPhone 6 may just be the most successful model in the iPhone line yet, with Apple reportedly selling more than 10 million units worldwide within the first three days of its release. Who can forget the hopeful customers camping outside Apple stores for days, standing for hours in long lines and spending large sums of money to get their hands on the latest addition to the iPhone line?

With the ridiculous level of demand for each version of the iPhone that is released, combined with even more outrageous levels of success in sales, it's no wonder that rumors are already starting to swirl about a supposed successor to the iPhone 6, the iPhone 7.

The rumored evolution of the iPhone is said to come with a load of brand new features, unheard of in smartphones. Firstly, the device will utilize gesture control; you will be able to use the phone without physically touching it.

Secondly, the phone will be able to charge by harnessing the power of the Sun, solar power. Also, Apple will be following in the footsteps of their competition, primarily Samsung, by making the iPhone 7 waterproof.

However, instead of making the outside water resistant, Apple is rumored to make the ENTIRE phone (circuit boards and all) 100 percent waterproof.

Another rumor that is tied to the iPhone 7 is that there will be holographic projections present, which is clearly not possible for currently available smartphones.
