iPhone 5 vs HTC One X vs Galaxy S4 vs Galaxy Note 3 / Features, Specs, Review / Note 3 Rumors

When purchasing a cell phone, there are a lot of different factors to take into consideration: price, features, specs and just overall comfortability.

If you were to go to your local retailer today looking for a great new phone chances are you'd be shown one of four: the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 [which actually hasn't been released yet] or Galaxy S4, the Apple iPhone 5, or the HTC One X.

All four industry leading phones are great, but a few details do distinguish them from one another.

The HTC One X is a great place to start. A few pros? The HTC One X has an excellent 4.7-inch, 1280 x 720p Super LCD display with Gorilla Glass. Inside is a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor with the latest Android operating system. With dual camera and NFC wireless networking, the HTC One X is priced at $200 with a new two-year contract with AT&T.

Apple has dominated the industry with its flagship device, the iPhone. The iPhone 5 is a modest upgrade but Samsung's Galaxy series is gaining steam. Still, with a gorgeous 4-inch Retina display screen. The iPhone 5 is lighter and thinner than its predecessor and somehow manages to pack in an even stronger processor. The App Store is bigger than ever with over 725,000 Apps available.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 has an excellent 13 megapixel camera, a 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor. The display has also been upgraded from 720p to full HD 1080p resolution.

One note: though the Galaxy S4 seems almost twice as powerful as the iPhone 5, expect Apple to release a phone that at least matches the S4's features and specs sometime around holiday season 2013.

Speaking of upcoming phone releases, the Galaxy Note 3 is also expected to launch sometime later in the year [possibly in September at IFA in Berlin]. As far as the rumors go, the Note is expected to come with a "phablet" friendly 5.7-inch 1080p display. Along with a larger screen, the Note 3 is also expected to feature a 13-megapixel camera, 3GB RAM and a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. The S Pen is also expected to be worked in the Note 3 features as well.
