The highly anticipated iPad Mini 2 is expected to hit stores by the end of 2013 just in time for the holiday season. Consumers are wondering what kind of features the iPad Mini 2 will have compared to the original iPad Mini. So far, rumors say that the new iPad will be considered the "Retina" iPad because of its powerful, never-before-seen retina display. Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst from KGI Securities, did an interview with Apple Insider in which he reported, "We predict Apple will launch new iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 (so called retina iPad mini) in 4Q13. As the tablet market becomes increasingly competitive, Apple could upgrade the camera as a selling point for the new iPad in a bid to increase competitiveness. We expect the upgrade will include 8 PM rear camera, up from 5MP, and a larger aperture. Lens module ASP will rise 10-20% on this optics spec upgrade."

The new retina display improvement will be the first time Apple featured a high-resolution upgrade on one of its tablets. The iPad Mini 2 is expected to ship 11.7 million units before the end of 2013.
