iPad Air 3 Release Date, Specs, Rumors: Latest Device To Be Released In October?

Few more months to wait before Apple's iPad Air 3 hits the market. According to reports, the device is set to come out this fall.

The iPad Air 3 is speculated for an October release. According to Parent Herald, the device is set to take over the iPad Air 2, which was released in October 2014. In addition, October could be a logical choice for Apple to release its new product line, since the company usually releases its new products in the said month.

It was further speculated that following October, Apple is set to reduce the price of its iPad Air product line, as focus would be given to the device's successor, the iPad Pro line. This suggests that the iPad Air 3 could be the last iPad Air product line of the Cupertino-based company.

Apple's iPad Air 3 was also rumored to be launched together with the 4-inch mobile handheld device, the iPhone SE; however, it failed to materialize, according to Vine Report. The upcoming tech is speculated and called as the iPad Pro 9.7, but this could be false, since Apple is reportedly developing the appropriate features that will make it distinct from the latter, as per the publication.

In terms of specifications, it is revealed that the iPad Air 3 is 6.1mm thick and has a 9.7-inch display with 2048 by 1536 pixel resolution. The device also has the most recent A10 chipset, which brings it as one of Apple's top devices.

Overall, Apple's iPad Air 3 is assumed to be released in October.
