iPad Air 3 Release Date Rumors, Specs: When Will The Next Device Be Unveiled?

Multiple iPad Air 3 news and rumors are still silent on the release date of Apple's new device.

The iPad Air 3 was rumored to be launched as early as October of last year, just because of Apple's previous practice of releasing each iteration of the tablet on the fourth quarter of the year. For instance, the original iPad Air was launched on Oct. 22, 2013. The second generation was announced on Oct. 16, 2014.

There were also rumors about the iPad Air 3 being released alongside the iPhone 7 last month, especially since resellers started cutting the price of the iPad Air 2, which they think pointed to the imminent release of the latest tablet. Obviously, the launch did not happen as expected.

We are now in October, and there seems to be no news from Apple's end on the iPad Air 3 release date. What dominated the press right now can be chalked up as rumors.

However, MacWorld said that there's hope yet considering that there are still about three months before the end of the year. Apple may yet surprise everybody by unveiling the iPad Air 3.

There are also news and rumors of the iPad Air 3 being released in March 2017. GameNGuide said that Apple is trying to make things correct the first time as it aims on reversing the slumping sales of its tablets.

The iPad Air 3, according to news and rumors, will reportedly run the A9 chip, Touch ID, four speaker audio, iOS 10 operating system, 2048X1536p resolution and 12 MP for the main camera.
