According to some reports Apple has rejected the originally rumored June 2013 release. Now it seems like a release date anywhere from September to November 2013 is more likely. Apple is probably trying to merge the iPad 5 release with the upcoming iPhone 5S [or iPhone 6] which is also slated for a September release.

No rush Apple, just make sure the new iPad and iPhone are worth the wait.

Apple fans can also be excited with the new iPad 5 dimensions. Word around the Web is the new iPad will be 25 percent lighter and 15 percent thinner. But how?

Apparently Apple is planning on changing the 3 cell batter with 2 cell battery, fusing the glass cover and electronic screen into one piece.

Apple's last iPad was notorious for overheating and a weak battery. Apple's remedy is a rumored Inductive Smart Cover, which allows the user to plug the iPad 5 in and use the cover's built-in battery. With an "A6X" processor the iPad 5 is believed to be faster and more battery efficient.

The iPad 5 is believed to come a variety of storage options: 16GB and as a big as 128GB. The prices are currently believed to start at $520 and $728 respectively. The iPad 5 will most likely be priced around the same as the iPad 4 when it was first released.
