Facebook vs Twitter, Instagram Unveils 15 Second Video to Compete with Vine

Rivalries are always what makes the world expand and the new Instagram video app is no different.

Twitter created Vine, which is a app that allows users to create 6 second videos. You would not think that you could share much in 6 seconds, but it surprisingly helps people become more creative to help people share in such a short amount of time.

Makes sense, just like when Twitter started, people had trouble sharing their ideas in 140 characters or less but then you adapt. Same has been true with Vine and since it's launch in January has over 13 million users.

Facebook was behind the creation of Instagram, which is a photo App that offers built in filters and tagging and allows you to post to other social media sites.

Istagram has become extremely popular in its few years of existence but with Vine growing in popularity and short videos catching on, they knew they needed to do something to keep up.

Well, the Instagram Video App has been launched officially now.

With the Instagram video app, you can record 15 second videos which gives you more time to share whatever you would like above the 6 seconds you are allowed on Vine.

Also, the new app will have filters like the photo app to enhance your videos, which will be a very popular addition.

The digital video advertising for all of these mobile apps is going to continue to keep moving up. There is expected to be a 41% increase to $4.1 billion in the U.S. this year compared to $2.9 billion last year, reports eMarketer.
