Indiana Jones 5 Cast Rumors: Harrison Ford Out, Robert Pattinson In?

Fans of the Indiana Jones series are anticipating the newest addition to the action packed adventure series. While producers have yet to reveal much about the film, rumors and speculation have already made some conclusions about Indiana Jones 5.

Until a few days ago, rumors were saying that Harrison Ford was going to be replaced by Robert Pattinson in the upcoming Indiana Jones 5. The reason for this was believed that Disney was eager to replace the aging star with a much younger actor.

At a red carpet event recently in Los Angeles for the promotion of his latest movie, The Rover, Pattinson completely dismissed these rumors saying that these were entirely untrue. In fact he seemed genuinely surprised when he was asked as to whether he was likely to replace Ford in the movie or not.

However even though Pattinson is not likely to be taking Ford's place, there are a few other names that are being considered for this role. Names like, Chris Pine, Chris Hemsworth, Kellan Lutz and Channing Tatum.

If a new actor and particularly a younger actor took over the role of Indiana Jones, then it is likely that the entire franchise is going be needing a reboot.

In the mean time, while the possibility of being replaced by Disney is at an all time high, Ford has expressed his personal interest in continuing with the portrayal of Indiana Jones in the fifth sequel.
