Hobbit 3 Movie News, Spoilers: Peter Jackson Comic-Con 2014 Set to Present Battle of the Five Armies (Teaser Video)

Recently, Warner Bros. has revealed that Director Peter Jackson will be presenting the Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies in the upcoming and awaited Comic-Con on July 26, 2014.

An excerpt from the studio's press release states, "On Saturday, July 26th, beginning at 10 a.m., Warner Bros. Pictures brings three of its most hotly anticipated films to this year's Con: Peter Jackson will be on the main stage with "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies," from New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures..."

Fans are hoping to catch bits, hints, and spoilers from the highly acclaimed director about the film, but are really looking forward to the official trailer which might be released.

Jackson may surprise everyone, but according to him the trailer may not be available until this October, "Thank you all for your responses to my posting about Lorri and Damien's book. Of course, many of you asked about the Hobbit Trailer. So, yes - there will be a Hobbit Trailer. But like the previous two years, it's not going to be released until around Oct. The complex VFX work required to produce the battle shots we're all wanting to see are simply not far enough along yet," Jackson posted on Facebook.

Jackson might have just closed the doors for the viewing of the official trailer during Comic Con, but for anxious fans, a teaser trailer may be taking its place during the convention, "However ... yesterday I finished work on a Teaser Trailer and that has just been delivered to Warner Bros. So no doubt this Teaser Trailer will be making its way into the world sometime soon..." Jackson continued.

In other news, Martin Freeman, who plays Bilbo Baggins, addressed the recent criticism over Jackson's use of CGI in the film, "Yeah, there's a lot of CGI, an awful lot of that business going on. But they are still very, very interested in the story. They want the human side of it to be absolutely pivotal. Beyond that? Of course it's a question of taste and I respect Viggo's opinion." Freeman told Seven Magazine.

Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is scheduled to premiere on December 18, 2014.
