Hillsong Worship releases new song, "Grace to Grace" |

There's something to look forward to this Easter as Hillsong Worship has released its latest single, "Grace to Grace."

Joel Houston, who co-wrote the song along with Chris Davenport, said in a press release that "Grace to Grace" talks of the journey before everybody meets their maker.

"It's a process that involves taking up our cross and denying ourselves, following him daily," he explained. "It's a process that involves humility and surrender time and time again, and it's impossible without grace. That's the picture for me. Grace upon grace upon grace upon grace."

Prior to its song, "Grace to Grace," Hillsong Worship released last year the "Open Heaven / River Wild" album, which debuted at the top of the Billboard Christian Albums Chart and the ARIA Album Chart of Australia.

Andy Walton of Christian Today commented in his review that the album was great but formulaic.

"The strength of the album is also its main problem - there's not much new in the formula here," he wrote. "If you've got previous Hillsong albums, then you already know the deal - well produced, a big sound, the repeated choruses rising to the big finish. While this record contains new tracks you won't have heard before, the song, in many ways, remains the same."

The band received nominations from the American Music Awards after winning the plum from Billboard Music Award for Top Christian Artist.

Fans will undoubtedly hear Hillsong Worship perform their new single, "Grace to Grace" once the band embarks on the Outcry tour 2016 along with Kari Jobe, Passion, Jesus Culture, Martin Smith, Bobbi Houston and Elevation Worship.
