'Guardians Of The Galaxy 2' Latest News: Howard the Duck Going To Appear In 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2?'

Since the first "Iron Man" film debuted in 2008, Marvel has always been known for its post-credit scenes. Of all the post-credit scenes ever shown in a Marvel movie, that of "Guardians of the Galaxy" which featured the unexpected appearance of Howard the Duck must be one of the most popular.

The sequence came as a big surprise for viewers, as it has already been nearly three decades since the 1985 "Howard the Duck" film debuted. Since the character appeared in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" post credits, Howard the Duck has been the talk of the town, with some even guessing that his appearance could have hinted a new Marvel movie for the character.

In a recent convention, "Guardians of the Galaxy" star Dave Bautista teased that Howard the Duck may actually appear in the next installment of the movie.

At the Heroes & Villains Fan Fest in Atlanta, Dave Bautista revealed that "Guardians of the Galaxy" writer-director James Gunn may bring back Howard the Duck in the next installment of the film.

"As long as there, a James Gunn directing the film, there's a possibility of a Howard the Duck," he said.

Gunn has yet to confirm Howard the Duck's return in the movie. However, the chances of the superhero getting his own movie over the next four years is very slim, considering Marvel's lineup of films until 2020. Still, fans can hope that Howard the Duck scenes may be worked into the additional scenes of "Guardians of the Galaxy 2," especially now that reshoots for the film are ongoing.
