The rumor mill is abuzz that developer Rockstar Games is currently engaged in developing a star-studded 'Grand Theft Auto 6,' which is likely to feature A-list Hollywood celebrities. A report in Yibada claims that Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes will be participating in the upcoming game as its central characters.

According to Christian Today, earlier reports claimed that 'GTA 6" will have a female lead. Day Herald says that Mendes will be the actress behind that character. As far as Gosling is concerned, his role in 'GTA 6' will enable Rockstar to fulfil its reported plans of melding the 'GTA' series with the company's other mega successful franchise, 'Red Dead Redemption.' According to Day Herald, the actor's character will be a successor of John Marston, the protagonist in the latter game.

It has been reported that Gosling's character will possibly be based on his role in the 2011 crime drama titled 'Drive,' where the actor performed the role of a criminal with perfection. Nevertheless, as of now, it is not known if Rockstat will use his appearance or voice.

As for this cast selection, it has been reported that Rockstar Games re-utilized the idea of the already called offl PS4-exclusive, 'Silent Hills,' which was rumored to feature 'The Walking Dead' actor Norman Reedus aka Daryl Dixon.

In terms of gameplay, various media outlets reported that Rockstar is currently working on including a good guy to the cast. This suggests that rather than being a bad guy doing all the pillages and lawbreaking in the city, gamers will actually be able to play the role of a cop in the upcoming game and catch these criminals instead.

Furthermore, there are reports that the 'GTA 6' will reinstate the six-star Wanted Level, which earlier featured in 'GTA 4.' In 'GTA 5,' players were only permitted to reach five-star level. Many fans would certainly be welcoming the return of the six-star level to 'GTA 6.'

Rockstar Games is expected to release 'GTA 6' sometime in 2018.
