GTA 5 PC Release Date Rumors: Game Store Touts June 2014 Release as 700,000 Sign Petition Demanding Rockstar Launch PC Version

GTA fans have been expecting Rockstar to announce the release of the PC version of the game over recent weeks, however, still until now the gaming company has not yet publicly revealed any information or even hinted on the possibility of the PC port.

At least 700,000 GTA fans have signed an online petition on Change.org in order to convince Rockstar to release a version to the PC. Here is the petition that GTA 5 enthusiasts sent to the game company:

"...Please release GTA V on PC. GTA games have been a large part of so many people's lives and it's a big shame not seeing the newest iteration of the game being released on the most powerful platform. Things like modifications have always been a HUGE part of PC gaming and modded GTA is some of the most insanely fun times you can have. I hope you consider the release of GTA V on PC as it'll make many people very happy...," according to the Change.org website.

Altex, a Romanian video game store, claims that the release for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be released on June 15. However, there has been no confirmation of such a date.

In a previous interview with Gamespot, Rockstar Games co-creator talked about the possibility of GTA V being released on next gen consoles and the PC in the future.

"Everything else is up for consideration," said Houser to Gamespot on November 2012. "That's all I can give you. The main thing is we are not... we are a third-party publisher. We're not Nintendo, we're not Sony, we're not Microsoft. We love all of them in different ways. But we can do what we want wherever there's the appropriate business opportunity and chance to find a market. If that's on Apple we put something on Apple. Wherever it might be. I think that's the fun in what we do. We see ourselves as a content company that uses technology. We don't make it; we use it to make the most fun stuff."
