'Grand Theft Auto VI' Release Date, Latest Rumors: Game Set To Launch In 2019 Due To Virtual Reality Compatibility?

In line with Rockstar Games forthcoming game "Grand Auto Theft VI," also known as "GTA VI," it has been rumored that it is set to be released in 2019.

According to Ecumenical News, the game's released has been postponed, since Rockstar Games desires to make the game compatible with virtual reality support systems. As per the publication, most game titles will be eligible to virtual reality systems by 2019; thus, it probably was Rockstar's decision to join the bandwagon.

The use of virtual reality is making its return, according to Neurogadget. As per the publication, a 2019 release date for "Grand Theft Auto VI" is likely to happen, as big companies like Oculus, HTC, and Sony are working in the technology, not to mention that even mobile phone giants like LG and Samsung are getting into it.

Another reason why "Grand Theft Auto VI" has been moved to 2019 was Leslie Benzie's previous departure from the gaming company. Producer and former president of Rockstar North, a subsidiary of Rockstar Games, Benziei reportedly left the firm due to greener pastures. Thus, having someone to fill-in his shoes is expected to be hard.

Game developers have not given their official reveal about the "Grand Theft Auto VI;" however, rumors claim that the upcoming sixth game installment will have a female character as the primary villain, along with Eva Mendes being attached. It has also been rumored that Mendes' real-life partner Ryan Gosling is also going to be a part of the upcoming game.

The game is also rumored to feature Tokyo or London as its location, according to rumors. Thus, fans have to wait for further announcement until the game hits stores in 2019.
