‘Grand Theft Auto 6': 'Return to Vice City’ 2017 Release Date, Rumors About Where The Game Is Going

Recently, a rumor has emerged that claims a sixth installment to the popular 'Grand Theft Auto' franchise, entitled "Return to Vice City," will launch in June of 2017.

It has not been long since developer Rockstar Games has announced a 'GTA V' release on next-gen consoles. The title will be available for purchase on November 7, for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

As fans have that to look foward to, they can also get excited about the recent reports that say a 'GTA 6' is being currently conceptualized.

Leslie Benzies, President of Rockstar North, had this to say about the future of the 'Grand Theft Auto' franchise, "We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do," she said in an interview, "We don't know what 'GTA VI' will be, but we've got some ideas."

Rumors have also mentioned that the setting of the new game will either be in London, Paris, Las Vegas or Brazil.

Benzies told KPOPSTARZ in an interview that Rockstar Games' main focus at the moment is 'GTA Online'. They mentioned that before they start working on a new game, they have to provide enough additions and content for the already released one

Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser had this to say about where the franchise is going, "At the moment it feels like [Grand Theft Auto's] D.N.A. is contemporary-ish, America-ish, English-speaking-ish, because that's what it has been... But that doesn't necessarily limit it to those, that's just what we've done so far."

The original 'Grand Theft Auto' game was first released in 1997 by Rockstar Games. The franchise has 14 'GTA' games that are set in fictional places based on American cities.

'Grand Theft Auto 5' was the best-selling game of 2013 with more than 32.5 million units sold worldwide.
