Up-and-coming Gospel artist Christina Bell, formerly of the two-time Stellar-nominated group Zie'l, on Wednesday announced that she has signed with legendary Malaco Music Group for an upcoming solo album. In a press statement, the Shreveport, Louisiana-native is described as a "standout talent, whose powerful vocals have captured the attention of heavyweights in the industry."

Having recently signed with Malaco Records, Bell is currently hard at work on her new project. The album will be produced by D. Jamel Kimbrough, known for his work with Todd Dulaney and Tasha Page-Lockhart, and is slated for release later this year.

"I am truly thrilled about this new chapter as a solo artist with Malaco Records," Bell says. "The label is legendary and I'm happy to be part of this iconic label family. Thank you to James Robinson and Tommy Couch Jr. for the opportunity to share my music with the world."

"I am extremely excited to have Christina here at Malaco with us," says James Robinson, Executive Director & General Manager of Malaco Records. "I have worked with her down through the years, and am pleased to be a part of this next phase in her ministry."

Bell recently appeared on Fred Hammond's "Festival of Praise Tour," where she shared the stage with acclaimed artists such as Donnie McClurkin, Charles Jenkins, and James Fortune. She also continues to create buzz across the web with her rendition of "Total Praise," which has garnered over one million views across social media.

The first single off her new album, "Going," is releasing to radio and digital platforms in July.
