Memphis-based Gospel artist Vincent Tharpe and Kenosis (VTK) are announcing the release of their sophomore album, Super Excited, releasing everywhere on July 20. The new album follows their 2014 Stellar-nominated debut album Vincent Tharpe And Kenosis: Live In Memphis, and holds true to VTK's signature energetic performances and gifted vocals, showcasing more of the group's electrifying delivery and a matured level of songwriting.
"I'm Super Excited about this album because it truly does describe how I feel about Jesus," Vincent says. "Every song that God gave me was specifically for this album. It is my privilege and honor to sing about and for Him."
Having performed together as a group for the past decade, Vincent feels a close familial bond with the Kenosis singers, and together their heart's desire is to empty themselves and fill others up through their music ministry.
"Kenosis is my backbone and I'm so grateful to do ministry with them," Vincent expresses. "We're ten years strong and God has favored us to travel everywhere spreading what he has gifted us to do."
He concludes, "The future is bright for VTK! We have many more albums to release, which creates even more opportunities to minister."
On the heels of their Super Excited release, Vincent and his singers will embark on the "Super Excited Summer Tour," kicking off on release day, July 20, in their home base of Memphis, Tenn., with dates planned across the country through September. Confirmed dates are available in Atlanta, Nashville, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Southbend, Chicago, Durham, Huntsville, and Washington, D.C.
