Google Allo News & Rumors: Release Date Is Imminent?

Google Allo has been the subject for several news reports and rumors for some time now. But a new report seems to suggest that the release date could be closer than people think.

The Google Duo was already launched this month, so there's a big possibility that the Allo is not far behind.

For those who don't know, the Google Allo is the messaging app from the search giant that uses Google Assistant. One of the new features is the incognito mode to keep your conversations private. Other features include the Smart Reply and language pattern recognition.

According to Digital Trends, the release of the Google Allo and Duo could very well spell the death for the Messenger and the Hangouts. The rumors and news reports alleged that they will be the default apps for the Android Nougat competing with FaceTime and iMessage by Apple.

For now, you can still use the Messaging and the Hangouts but they will eventually be phased out in a few years.

TechnoBufallo pointed out that Allo has already been promoted for beta testing on Google Play, particularly on the "New & Updated" section. But then again, the app has been there since it was first revealed although you need to go to a separate URL.

Google Allo was supposed to be launched in the summer, so the search engine giant has about a few weeks left before making good on the target release date.

Watch out for more news and rumors on Google Allo, which will be published here when they come along.
