‘God Of War 4' News & Update: Game’s Combat System Going To Be ‘Satisfying,’ Feature Kratos And Son Team-Up

Along with details on Sony's "God of War 4" storyline, game director Cory Balrog also shared his thoughts on the game's battle system.

Balrog wrote on his Twitter account, as cited by Attack of the Fanboy, that the combat was fun and satisfying. Aside from having a fast-paced action, Balrog mentioned that the combat in the game was going to be satisfying as hell to play. As per the publication, the game director also said that the new battle system was being developed and adapted until the game is ready for launch.

Players are set to see the value of teamwork in "God of War 4." According to iTech Post, the game will feature Kratos and his son working hand in hand, which suggests a harmonious father-son dynamics. As per the publication, it is evidenced in a clip at the Electronic Entertainment Expo that Kratos' son using a hunting bow to help his father take down the monsters.

It is added that "God of War 4" sees Kratos as a stranger in a new territory, which is inhabited by some monsters. As suggested by Gaming Bolt, the game is set to depart from the traditional battle systems of its predecessors. Instead, players are set to concentrate on exploring and engaging with the environment.

In terms of Kratos' personality, "God of War 4" is assumed to see a more "meditative" character, as opposed to the "enraged" and "revenge-driven" one in the game's predecessors.

"God of War" is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 in the fall of 2017.
