GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Release Date, Price Rumors: CES 2017 Launch Announced?

The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti release date will be announced during the CES 2017, one of the biggest consumer electronics and technology shows in the world, in Las Vegas in January next year.

According to the PCGames N, NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang himself would be unveiling the new device as he takes center stage in the Las Vegas event.

Of course, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti release date during the CES 2017 could not be confirmed since NVIDIA is keeping mum amid all the rumors surrounding the chip.

But the company released a clip that lists the subject matters Jen-Hsun will tackle during his CES 2017 speech. These include AI, automated cards, VR, machine learning and games.

Based on multiple reports, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will be using the modern Pascal architecture, and is expected to trump the already impressive GTX 1080. Some speculation said that its specs could rival the more expensive Titan X.

The GTX 1080 Ti reported features specs of 3,328 CUDA cores and also 12 GB GDDR5X. The boost clock can also reach 1,623 MHz. In contrast, the Titan X has 3,584 CUDA cores and a boost clock of 1,531. The GTX 1080, meanwhile, only has 2,560 CUDA Cores with a base clock of 1,606 MHz.

The price difference, however, is quite big considering that the GTX 1080 is priced at around $600 while the Titan X is about $1,200. The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, meanwhile, is expected to hover around the $800 level.

Watch out for more rumors on the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti release date, which will be published here when they become available.
