'Frozen 2' Release Date, Plot Rumors: Anna Might Not Be Elsa's Real Sister, Rapunzel and Elsa Are Twins?

Anna might not be Elsa's real sister in the upcoming "Frozen 2," according to rumors.

According to The Film Theorists, Anna is an adopted child, which is a reason why she does not have supernatural powers like her sister Elsa, who has the ability to create and control ice. Instead, Rapunzel from "Tangled" is now rumored as Elsa's real sister.

Rapunzel was reportedly seen in Arandelle with Flynn during Queen Elsa's coronation, which ignited links between "Frozen" and "Tangled," as per Christian Today. According to the publication, Elsa and Rapunzel are fraternal twins, as evidenced by their blue eyes and blonde hair, in addition to being left-handed.

The rumors saying that Elsa and Rapunzel are sisters are strengthened as "Tangles" and "Frozen" are reportedly within the same timeline, indicating that they are of the same age. Also, rumors say that both characters are capable of bringing things to life.

According to rumors, Elsa and Rapunzel were separated at birth. Rapunzel was reportedly stolen because of her magical hair while Elsa was sent by the King and Queen of Corona to their neighboring kingdom, Arandelle, to protect her from Mother Gothel.

Directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, "Frozen 2" serves as the sequel to Disney's 2013 animated film "Frozen." The plot remains unknown at this point, but it is assumed that it will feature the exploits of Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven.

"Frozen 2" is rumored to premiere in 2018 while exact details on the plot, characters, and cast are yet to be revealed.
