Franklin Graham Sends Up Prayers for Lamar Odom & Offers Advice for Those in Pain [VIDEO]

Lamar Odom

Franklin Graham never shies away from sharing advice on mainstream issues, and in his recent Facebook post the popular evangelist talked about former NBA star Lamar Odom's lifestyle, condition and says he is praying for his recovery.

Graham, son of the great Billy Graham, is joining the thousands of others on social media who have vowed to pray for the former Los Angeles Lakers player.

Odom was found unconscious at a brothel in Crystal, Nevada Tuesday after an apparent drug binge. The New York native has had private struggles with substance abuse but it all turned public after his very public divorce to Khloe Kardashian.

Graham had some advice for young men looking to find satisfaction in all the wrong places.

"Listen up young men. I'm a father and a grandfather, and I want to give you some advice. Former NBA star Lamar Odom was looking for something at a brothel in Nevada, something to ease the pain and void deep inside his heart. Instead it has devastated his life. The truth is-the only One that can heal the pain in a human heart is Jesus Christ. Drugs can't do it, sex can't do it, money can't do it, nothing or no one else can do it. I want you to know that God made you and He loves you," he wrote.

He went on to share Proverbs 7:24-26 stating, "He wants to give you life, peace, and hope-and the only way is through trusting in His Son, Jesus Christ. God's Word warns, "Now then, my sons, listen to me; pay attention to what I say. Do not let your heart turn to her (a prostitute's) ways or stray into her paths. Many are the victims she has brought down; her slain are a mighty throng""

The powerful message concluded with Graham saying, "I am praying for ?#"ŽLamarOdom and his family."
