Former Muslim Christian Convert to Establish Christian TV Network to Broadcast Across Middle East to Bring People to Jesus Christ

Dr. Hormoz Shariat has faced a lot of hardship and tribulations in his life, but the one thing that allows him to persevere is his trust and faith in Jesus Christ. His brother Hamraz was killed by a firing squad when he was only 16 years old for a minor offense in Iran after being confined in a jail cell for two years.

Dr. Shariat left Iran and went to America because of the Islamic Revolution in 1979. The next year, he converted to Christianity despite the fact he grew up in a Muslim family that practiced Islam.

His niece's (Naghmeh) husband Pastor Saeed Abedini is currently imprisoned in Iran because he was preaching the Gospel of Jesus in the predominately Muslim nation. In a YouTube video, Dr. Shariat revealed that he led his niece to become a Christian many years ago.

Dr. Shariat television network "Iran Alive Ministries" will now be broadcasted all over the Middle East. Previously, his Christian network only reached Muslims who converted to Christianity in the US and in his native country Iran. He also has a church in San Jose California that has the biggest congregation of Muslim people who have have converted to Christianity in America. Dr. Shariat is also known as "The Billy Graham of Iran" because of his passion for spreading the Gospel all over the world.

His Iran Alive Ministries first broadcasted in Iraq immediately following the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Center Twin Towers 13 years ago. Now with his network expanding across the globe, he can continue to reveal more testimonies of people who accepted Christ in their lives. Here is one of the testimony of at least 22,000 people who accepted Jesus Christ through Dr. Shariat's ministry:

"My name is Ahmad.* Years ago, I was arrested and sentenced to 12 years in prison for participating in political demonstrations. Every day, the jail would perform executions. I lived in fear of torture and execution daily.

"One night, I had a dream. I saw a man tell me, 'I am God, and I will set you free.' Three days later, I was released from prison.

"When I was home and flipping the TV channels, I came across your program. Soon, I gave my heart to Jesus. I could not stop talking about Him! I told my whole family, but they cursed and beat me. My wife's family took my pregnant wife away and told me that I was not welcome in their family anymore. They left me bleeding, but I did not reject my belief in Christ.

"After a few weeks, my wife decided to leave her family and come back to me. Today, my wife, my son and I are growing in our faith through your TV programs," said Ahmad according to Dr. Shariat's website.
