Rock band Flyleaf's lead singer Kristen May recently announced plans to record and release a solo album, which she hopes to fund through a PledgeMusic campaign.

May already has a title picked out for the album, Conversations, and she is already in pre-production. She will be launching the campaign on August 4.

One of the pledge's invites fans to create t-shirt designs for the project that will get them a mention in the pledgemusic project and a $100 prize.

"Can't wait to share more with you in the next couple weeks!! Thank you to everyone who has supported me and cheered me on along the way! This album is for you!" May said in her announcement.

A fan on the Facebook page questioned why May would be working on an album if she's with Flyleaf, to which the band responded, "Kristen is finding tons of inspiration now that she's staring a new chapter as a mom to be & has been writing a lot of new material!"
