Floyd Mayweather Shot? Rumors of T.I. Tour Bus Shooting a Hoax

Earlier this week fans of boxing champ Floyd Mayweather and rapper T.I were left in shock when news broke across the Internet saying that the music star had shot up Mayweather's bus, claiming two lives. However, despite reactions from fans filling Internet forums and social media sites, the news has been confirmed as a hoax and a fake story.

The fake news was published by the self-proclaimed "satirical" website Cream BMP Daily, which is a site that makes itself look like an authentic news site, but which only posts fake hoaxes and carries a small disclaimer explaining as much on its site. Nevertheless the site was able to fool many people into believing that Mayweather and T.I. had been involved in a shoot up.

The fake article reads, "Floyd Mayweather's bus was shot up by an unmarked car early this afternoon to which two have been pronounced dead and Mayweather treated for minor injuries."

It further says, "'Mayweather had to know his shoulder roll wouldn't stop a bullet' One of his friends who says he insisted that Floyd not get involved with street guys like rapper TI."

The website carries a disclaimer that reads, "CreamBmp.com Written by comedian CREAM. This website is comprised of satire and parody of current news and urban culture. For entertainment purposes only."

In addition, the disclaimer also says, "All reports and other information on this page may or may not be 100% accurate. It's not news, it's entertainment. All other comments are my personal opinion, but try not to take the shit seriously and come at me with that [expletive], because I will and do sue. I'm just a young [expletive] tryna get rich."

Meanwhile, TMZ reports that the article posted on Cream BMP Daily seems to be making fun of a recent fight between the professional boxer and the rapper at a Fatburger in Las Vegas over the weekend.

TMZ says, "T.I. never intended to get into a fight with Floyd Mayweather Sunday night in Las Vegas ... sources close to the rapper tell TMZ - but Tip was definitely pissed about Money possibly getting close to his wife."

In yet another report, TMZ quotes sources close to T.I. as well as Floyd Mayweather to say "it's become very clear ... each side is telling a very different version of events surrounding the fight."
