'The Flash' Season 2 Release Date: CW Renews Series for More Episodes- Premieres Fall, 2015

Fans of CW's 'The Flash' will be excited to learn that their favorite lightening fast superhero will be returning to the network for a second season. However, while CW hasn't actually made an official announcement in this regard, evidence for a claim like this is overwhelming.

According to Spoiler TV, 'The Flash' has already been renewed for Season 2, and viewers of the series can expect to catch new episodes in the Fall of next year.

Evidence that supports this report starts off by considering the show's high ratings and consistent viewership. Clearly, by the stats, 'The Flash' is one of the best things to happen to the network, says BamSmackPow.

In terms of total viewers, the show rests at roughly 4 million per episode, is in the coveted 18-49 demographic, and is doing 50 percent better than the next closest CW show, 'Arrow'.

With statistics like these, it's a mystery as to why the CW hasn't decided to use up its timeslots with more superhero shows. A report by BamSmackPow reads, "In fact the DC super hero shows have done so well relative to everything else on the network that you have to wonder whether or not it is asking Warner Bros. and DC for more.

On that note, there is one supposed spin-off CW superhero series in the works, one based on the Atom. Apparently, in the 'Arrow' mid-season finale, Ray Palmer revealed his Atom suit which hinted at more appearances from the character in the near future.

All in all, there are plenty more bad guys for the fastest man alive to conquer in the upcoming episodes of 'The Flash'.

Also, if the series continues to draw in as much viewership and good ratings as it already does, it would not be a surprise if the series would stretch far into 2016 with a third season.

Beyond all that, fans of 'The Flash' can expect to catch him (or try to) on the CW next year in the Fall.
