There is a bit of a light shed at "Finding Carter" supporter who are calling for the show's renewal. According to a latest report, a petition has been created as a shout out to MTV in order to bring back the beloved show on television.

Bernadette Rentschler, who is an avid fan, initiated the signature campaign on The Petition Site which targets to have at least 9,000 signatures. So far, the website had already gathered more than 8,500 supporters and still waiting for the goal to achieve.

"For too long, MTV has cancelled our favorite shows, just to create these new ones that we don't care about. It needs to stop," as written on the petition summary. The fans seem to be hoping for a positive outcome as an unnamed fan wrote that MTV should bring the show back, in all capital letters.

"This is such a brilliant show with so many loose ends and us as fans deserve to know how it all will play out. We dedicated ourselves to this show and became attached to these characters, at least, give us a season 3. BRING BACK FINDING CARTER!!!!!" as read in the comment section.

Despite the strong wave of supporters signing for the campaign, it is still unsure whether the network will allow the renewal or not. Let us wait for the further update regarding that.

Meanwhile, showrunner Emily Silver thanked the fans on Twitter and wrote that MTV might consider another season because of what they have been doing.

"You guys did GREAT with that petition, amazing!" the message reads, as quoted by Enstarz. "I'll pass your request, along with the link, to our content team here. While that's not a guarantee we'll be able to secure the streaming rights for the show, we're always looking to expand our library."
