'Final Fantasy XV' Release Date News: Square Enix Accidentally Unveils Title’s North American Box Art?

The latest updates for Square Enix's "Final Fantasy XV" includes the box art for North America.

The North American box art for the forthcoming title was posted on Square Enix's Online Store. However, it was taken down briefly afterwards, as per PlayStation Lifestyle.

While it has been removed, it was noted that Noctics, who is wielding his huge sword, stands in the middle. Along with him are his teammates, each holding their respective weapons.

The box art also gave fans a tease on the new look at the team's car, the Regalia, which is believed to have a pivotal role in the game. According to Gamespot, it serves as the physical manifestation of Noctis' connection to his father along his mission. The Regalia also stands as a metaphor for his father's love, burdens, and bond, as he traverses the path to his fate.

As per the publication, players will be able to change the car's parts and appearance to suit their gaming style. While it can be serviced when it malfunctions, the Regalia needs gas for it to be fueled. In line with this, the game is set to feature gas stations and the characters have to push it when it runs out of gas.

Along with Noctis and his friends, the box art also features the clouds, which reveal the team's enemies. Exact details on their impact to the characters and the overall gameplay are yet to be revealed.

The cover for "Final Fantasy XV" is set to be reversible, as revealed at the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016. Upon securing the Day One Edition of the title, fans are also set to receive the Masamune, Final Fantasy's iconic weapon, along with the "A King's Tale" pre-order bonus game.

"Final Fantasy XV" is set to be released on Sept. 30.
