‘Final Fantasy XIV' Patch 3.4 Update Brings Apartments, Aquariums, Hairdos And Squadrons?

Patch 3.4 for Square Enix's MMORPG "Final Fantasy XIV" is coming soon, and it adds new features such as apartments, aquariums, hairstyles, raids and squads.

The new apartment complexes are added to the in-game wards and subdivisions, PC Gamer has learned. According to the publication, players have to be at level 50 or have attained the rank of second lieutenant in the "Maelstrom," "Order of the Twin Adder," or the "Immortal Flames" in order to sign up for one.

In addition, players have to have 500,000 gil to get an apartment. Overall, it is assumed that the player character should be of high in-game status or have enough resources to acquire one.

Along with the apartments, aquariums are also set to be part of "Final Fantasy XIV." Players can stash the fish that they catch from the artificial aquatic habit. In addition, players can play songs from the soundtrack through the device called Orchestrion, and listen to those songs while watching the fish in the aquarium.

Players will also see Alexander: The Creator, as the last part in the Alexander raid series, as per Siliconera. According to the publication, the Normal and Savage versions of the raids will be accessible when the patch launches. New hairstyles and gear, in addition to two new Dungeons - Great Cubal Library and Xelphatol - will be added.

Patch 3.4 will also allow players to recruit NPCs and form groups called Adventurer Squadrons, which they can train and delegate to accomplish special missions. Squadrons may be able to accompany characters into dungeons sometime in the future.

"Final Fantasy XIV" is available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows.
