‘Fallout 4’ Release Date News, Leaked Detail Rumors: October 2014 Launch? Bethesda Focuses on Androids?

Rumor has it that 'Fallout 4' will release in October of next year, or sometime in early 2016. However, this speculation has not been confirmed by franchise developer, Bethesda.

It's been six whole years since 'Fallout 3' was released, and fans have been clamoring for an addition to the post-apocalpytic RPG series. While Bethesda remains silent on the matter, the only thing fans of the franchise can turn to is rumors and speculation.

On that note, some are of the view that Bethesda Softworks actually announced the game and its release date behind closed doors. Bethesda allegedly talked about the status of 'Fallout 4' during the EGX Eurogamer Expo 2014 held in London last Sept. 25 to 28.

Considering this is said to have been done behind closed doors, evidently, this rumor has not been confirmed or denied.

Additional information comes in the form of an anonymous informant. Reddit user GNR_Informant, to be exact.

Apparently, this person was given details about the game directly from someone who works at Bethesda. He or she then proceeded to post the info, to the shock and awe of many, and to the skeptical eye of others.

GNR_Informant claims that 'Fallout 4' is being developed on the PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC platforms.

He went on to say, "First and foremost, the game will take place in Boston, and be kind of a direct sequel to Fallout 3 with a few groups returning. From what it sounds like, 'The Institute' is pretty much the downtown DC or New Vegas of this game. Boston is going to be unlike anything we've seen in a Fallout game before, with buildings more on par with cyberpunk and retro-futurism."

Adding, "Androids play a big part in this game. The railroad from Fallout 3 is a faction. The enemies of the railroad is 'the Plantation' - a group who force Androids to farm so that Humans can get food. The Institute is highly advanced and probably obtained or built their own GECK to start a farm," he added.

On a side note, the informant mentioned that 'Fallout 4' does not intend to follow a 'Skyrim' type pattern. Apparently, too many people complained that 'Fallout 3' was too much like 'Oblivion', therefore, that course is no longer viable for Bethesda.

As it stands, there's no confirmation about the rumors or aforementioned details, but fans can still hope for another exciting addition to the 'Fallout' franchise.
