Evander Holyfield Attacked By Gay Activists for Speaking Against Homosexuality; 'Yes, It Is a Choice...Bible Lets Us Know Right and Wrong'

Former Heavyweight Boxing Champion Evander "The Real Deal" Holyfield is the latest celebrity to come under fire from gay activists after speaking out against homosexuality, calling it a "choice," and not "normal."

Holyfield made the comments on Sunday when reality star Luisa Zissman questioned him if there were any homosexual boxers.

"That ain't normal!" said Holyfield to Zissman on the United Kingdom's version of Celebrity Big Brother Sunday.

"The Bible lets you know what's wrong and what's right," he continued. "If you were born, and your leg was turned this way, what do you do? Go to the doctor and get it fixed...The only thing I'm trying to tell you is you know how handicapped people, you can't say because they're born that way you can't move that...Yes, it is a choice."

Gay activists immediately took to online forums and social media outlets to speak out against Holyfield for his comments. However, producers also came under fire when they also took action to reprimand Holyfield for his comments; after the conversation was over, the boxer was taken to a secluded room, where producers condemned him for expressing his views, according to TMZ.

Big Brother producers told him that expressing his biblical beliefs was "inappropriate." They suggested that the reason they were inappropriate was that they "aren't the views that are held by a large section of society," according to the live BB feed posted on the TMZ website.

Holyfield's son Ewin was forced to come out in his father's defense after gay activists immediately moved to label him homophobic for expressing opinions different to their own.

"My dad is the most loving and caring person you will ever meet. He treats everyone like a human being ... even if they are homosexual," said Ewin to TMZ. "My dad feels that being gay is a choice ... and naturally that's how things work. You cannot procreate and make a baby with two women, or two men. But at the same time, my dad is not going to judge someone for their sexual orientation."
