Since last year buzz has been circulating the web that Eminem is back in the studio working on a new album. Thanks to long time 'Slim Shady' collaborator and producer, Dr. Dre, the rumors have been confirmed.

"Em is finishing up his project, man," Dre told Los Angeles radio station 106 FM. "And for me, man, I've just, like, gotten inspired again to go back in the studio. So I'm...really just having fun, with life and having fun being creative and just trying some new and different things with myself, man."

Eminem is scheduled to release his self-proclaimed, "landmark solo album" May 28, the day after Memorial Day.

Though Shady Records president Paul Rosenberg hasn't confirmed the new album drop date, he talk to The Huffington Post a European tour is being coordinated at this time.

"We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013. He's been working on it for some time," Rosenberg said. "We've got some dates locked in for him to perform live in Europe in August, so we're trying to see what else lines up.

Some of the dates for Eminem's 2013 tour have been confirmed but more dates are being added soon. The 'Slim Shady' rapper will kick off the summer leg of his tour August 15th in Kiewit-Hasselt, Belgium and continue through Europe, ending at the Reading and Leeds Festival (Great Britain, U.K.) on August 25th.

Tyler the Creator and Kendrick Lamar are rumored to be the opening act for Eminem's 2013 tour.

Eminem, 40, released a collaborative album called "Recovery" in 2010. It featured the hit singles "Not Afraid" and "Love the Way You Lie."
