'Elementary' Season 5 Episode 8 Spoilers: Sherlock Will Lie About Attendance In Sobriety Meetings

Sherlock will lie about attending his sobriety meetings in the upcoming episode of "Elementary" season 5, titled "How the Sausage is Made."

In episode 8 of the American procedural drama, Joan will be concerned about Sherlock's recent behavior. She fears that her partner in crime's sobriety is at risk since he has not been telling her the truth about his attendance in his recovery meetings.

The synopsis for the episode reads, "Joan worries Sherlock's sobriety is at risk when she learns he has been lying to her about attending recovery meetings. Also, Sherlock and Joan discover a man's death caused by ingesting poisoned sausage is connected to a lab working on a breakthrough in the artificial meat industry."

In the promo trailer for the episode, Sherlock and Joan are checking out the source of the sausage. The two detectives hope that the sausage that caused the death of the victim is not made of human. The clip also shows Sherlock and Joan visiting the supplier. In the trailer, the owner is seen arguing that he would not sell a sausage with human flesh in it. In the end, Sherlock decides to conduct a test on the "lab grown food," hoping that he could find a link between it and the poison that killed the man. 

In other "Elementary" news, actress Lucy Liu revealed in a recent interview that she will direct at least one episode this season.

"They don't make it easy. I'm like, 'Can you guys write a little bit less in the episode?' And all of a sudden I'm in every scene. It's been a challenge but I think it's been such a wonderful, creative experience and the opportunity to do both really shows, you know, what you're capable of," she said.

"Elementary" season 5, episode 8 airs on November 27 on CBS.
