'Duck Dynasty's' Miss Kay Robertson Thanks God For Not Committing Suicide When Her Husband Phil Accused Her of Cheating 'I Hit Rock Bottom'

Miss Kay Robertson, the wife of A&E hit series "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson, is coming out with a brand new book titled "The Women of Duck Commander" where she discusses multiple issues including some hardships she faced when she was younger. In the 'The Women of Duck Commander' book, the matriarch of the Robertson family revealed that she almost committed suicide many decades ago. The reason why she previously wanted to end her life because that night her husband accused her of being unfaithful to him.

"I hit rock bottom," wrote Miss Kay Robertson in the new "The Women of Duck Commander book." "I have never felt as totally hopeless as I did that night. I simply could not see any way out of a terrible situation or the boys and me. I finally accepted the fact that I could not fix our lives and had no one to help."

During those dark times, her husband Phil Robertson was an alcoholic. On the night he accused her of cheating on him, she could not take it anymore. As a result, Miss Kay almost did something really tragic to herself that night.

"I realized I just wanted to go to sleep for a long time. I did not consciously want to kill myself, I just wanted to take enough Tylenol ... to have a nice, long rest. I just didn't want to live anymore ... if I could just go to sleep and not wake up. And I wanted to scare the daylights out of Phil," wrote Robertson in the new book. "I wanted to punish him for everything that he had put me through. I told myself I didn't care if I slept forever, but deep down I don't think I really wanted to die."

She also credited God for reminding she does have a reason to live. She was still locked in the bathroom when she changed her mind about doing something drastic.

"Through my sobs I heard the sound of little feet headed toward the bathroom door. I could tell all three boys in their house shoes were coming to talk to me," wrote Robertson in the book. "[Her eldest son Alan told her] Mom, don't cry, God will take care of us."

After her son's revelation, the Robertson's matron had an epiphany.

"In an instant it was like a light bulb came on for me. 'What am I doing?' I asked myself. 'I have three little boys. I can't leave them with a drunk.'"

After that she prayed to God and got a new purpose. Mrs. Robertson forgave her husband Phil of his horrible allegation and the rest is history.
