‘Duck Dynasty’ Latest News: Star’s Jewelry Line Gives Jobs To West Monroe Women

Missy Robertson, the star of the reality series "Duck Dynasty," has created a new jewelry line called "Laminin by Missy Roberston," and part of the proceeds will be used to provide employment to the women of West Monroe, Louisiana.

The Laminin House employed local women to craft the products in the jewelry line which, according to the press release, consists of beads, natural stones, mixed metals, Druzy stones, rosary beads, deer horns and leather.

Robertson explained that the word "Laminin" refers to the molecular protein which is the basic foundation of the body.

"And this particular protein, if looked through a microscope is in the exact shape of the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ," she said. "He is in all things And In Him all things hold together is a verse taken by Colossians 1:17. This meaning means more than our bodies, but our community of Laminin ladies that will be a part of this jewelry line."

Eventually, The Laminin House will open branches in other states, not only to provide employment to jobless women, but also serve as a safe refuge for women who are victims of sex trafficking, single mothers and others.

The company also committed that once a month, it will design and sell signature pieces under the "Laminin by Missy Robertson," and all the earnings will be donated to one of their workers/beneficiaries or to any charity of her choice.

"'Laminin by Missy Robertson' has already begun these partnerships with several local philanthropies, including Project 41 and Heartfelt Ministry," the press release said.
