'Downton Abbey' Season 6 Episode 3 Spoilers: Wedding Bells Ring For Mr. Carson, Mrs. Hughes

With the final episodes of "Downton Abbey" season 6 upcoming, fans are set to see two characters become husband and wife, along with some talks saying that the show's episode 3 is set to air in the United States.

"Downton Abbey" season 6 episode 3 is set to be aired in the U.S. And it will feature the much expected tying-of-the knot between Mr. Carson (Jim Carter) and Mrs. Hughes (Phyllis Logan), according to Christian Today. As per the publication, the wedding story arc of the series tremendously progressed since the start of the final season of the show.

Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes' wedding is one of the romance highlights in "Downton Abbey" season 6 episode 3; however, they are not the only couple to tie the knot. According to a previous report from International Business Times, several "Downton" residents are set to find love this year and more than three walks down the aisle are expected.

"Downton Abbey" season 6 episode 3 is also set to see the Crawleys offer Mrs. Hughes their house for the wedding reception; however, the latter refused the offer, telling then that she wanted to hold the wedding in a place where their personalities could be reflected. The Crawleys accepted Mrs. Hughes' decision, as per Christian Post.

Instead of having the wedding reception at the Crawleys' residence, the couple, the Crawleys, and other servants will gather and share a wedding breakfast in a local school. While things could be special for the couple, it looks like a challenge immediately rises, as Tom Branson (Allan Leech) is going to return with his daughter Sibbie, with a plan of staying in the estate for good.

"Downton Abbey" season 6 episode 3 airs in the U.S. on Jan. 17 on PBS.
