'Doctor Who' Season 10 News: John Barrowman Going To Reappear As Jack Harkness?

"Doctor Who" has some treat for its fans as it returns for its 10th season in 2017.

According to reports, John Barrowman may reappear as Jack Harkness in season 10. Jack Harness is a minor character in the series, appearing only in 12 episodes over the last five years. Despite his minor role, however, he has become a fan favorite because of his charm.

Since the end of his stint in the series, Barrowman has appeared in CW's "Arrow,"  "The Flash," and "Legends of Tomorrow." But the role that made him most famous was in "Doctor Who" and the "Doctor Who" spinoff "Torchwood," where he portrayed Jack Harness, a deceitful yet charming time traveler. Since "Torchwood" came to a close in 2011, fans have never seen him again.

Recently, however, there have been reports saying that the actor is returning to "Doctor Who" for its 10th season.

Asked about his rumored return, Barrowman told The Radio Times, "The answer is always absolutely. It's a show and genre that changed my life. I love it dearly and if I'm asked I would do it at the drop of a hat. And also my producers here in the US for the show I'm on at the moment, 'Arrow,' they've said, 'If that did happen, we'd let you do it.' I would love to do it, and I do know that there's a huge fan base."

While the return of his character is a huge deal for his fans, neither the actor nor the BBC network has confirmed that Barrowman will be back next season so fans should wait for further updates.
