'Divinity: Original Sin 2' Preview News: Early Access Allows Game Players To Explore, Create Characters

Details on the Early Access of Larian Studios' role-playing video game "Divinity: Original Sin II" have surfaced.

The Early Access gameplay for "Divinity: Original Sin 2" allows players to check out the character's hairstyles, as well as different classes, before she heads to the island fortress Fort Joy. According to PC Games N, the island is designed to persecute the magic types.

In the game, players are also set to see allies, which are represented by three misfits. According to the website, they stick together and form a party that cannot be halted. These allies also serve as backup, as the character takes on Sebille's story arc missions, such as searching out the lizard man who had wronged her.

In terms of gameplay, "Divinity: Original Sin II's" battle system shares similar features with its 2014 installment, according to PC Gamer. As per the website, Larian enhanced it with some differences. A case in point is that an encounter begins with four out of six action points active and players can now curse or bless surfaces, which let them burn oil to heal friendly units.

It is added that the game's opening hours are not as action-filled as the original game. However, the game lets players go into more detail and create and/or customize creatures such as elves, humans, or lizard heroes, or follow one of the four preset origin stories, along with their accompanying dialogue.

"Divinity: Original Sin II" is set to be released for Microsoft Windows in December.
