'Dishonored 2' PS4 Pro Review, News: Dishonoted 2 On PS4 Plagued With Negative Reviews

Since its release, Dishonored 2 on PS4 has been plagued with negative reviews.

Some reports claim that Dishonored 2 on PS4 offers not a single performance benefit for users who are playing on an HD screen versus the standard PS4.

While there are also some positive reviews about the video game when it comes to its overall performance on Xbox, Dishonored 2 has lately been coming under fire because of the poor performance of its PC version. Some users previously complained of its extremely high-end systems which struggle to maintain reasonable frame rates. The game has also been criticized for its general lack of optimization.

Recently, Digital Foundry released an in-depth analysis of the game and agreed that Dishonored 2 needs a fundamental reevaluation.

According to the site, the game struggles to maintain 60fps at 1080p, even with it is played on a PC with an overclocked Core i7 4790 K hooked up to a Titan X Pascal.

"Clearly, a fundamental reevaluation of the PC version is required beyond the brace of patches seen so far," wrote Digital Foundry's Richard Leadbetter.

The review also claimed that even after testing the game on Sony's new console, PS4 Pro, they found no palpable performance benefits.

"We tested this a couple of times to confirm results-- there's no super-sampling if you boot with a 1080p screen attached, but there is if you boot with a 4K display attached then drop back to the front-end and select 1080p,"said Leadbetter.
