‘Despicable Me 3’ Spoilers and Release Date: Gru's Family & Minions Featured in Upcoming Movie

The next sequel for the Despicable Me franchise is already in the works and underway by Universal Studios. The studios' own "Brady Bunch" will be back for the 3rd time including former super-villain turned super dad Gru, his new wife Lucy, and his 3 adorable daughters, together with several hundred Minions in June 2017.

While the Despicable Me franchise spin-off, Minions, is slated to launch into theaters this July, original human casts of the movie will not be running the show as much as the obnoxious and funny yellow creatures until 2017 for Despicable Me 3. A new plot is already rumored to be built up by the studio's creative team.

In both movies, Despicable Me 1 and 2, Gru has proven to many viewers that love can change a once evil genius to a loving dad and love can also make you do crazy things like saving several Minions from turning into purple tormentors by super villain "El Macho." With that story arch ticked off from the list, the rumored plot for the next movie is the return of the Margo, Edith and Agnes' original mom. The plot has been seen on IMDb as a trivia.

Universal Studios still have a large amount of time to round up Despicable Me 3 including the artworks, narratives, directing and tapping the voice actors of the franchise like Steve Carrell as Gru, Russel Brand as Dr. Nefario, Kristin Wiig as Lucy, and others.

Meanwhile, Minions will be in theaters July 10, 2015 in the US, June 18, 2015 in Australia, and June 26, 2015 in the UK. The spin-off movie will revolve around the story of Gru's loyal yellow followers, their origin and the number of evil bosses they have come across in time. Stellar voice acts like Sandra Bullock will voice Scarlet Overkill and Jon Hamm as Herb Overkill in the movie.
